⑩ Laboratory Center |
1) Shougang Steel Ball operates a testing center that not only conducts quality inspections and ensures the quality of its own manufactured products but also provides customers with product testing services and expert advice on product selection.
2) Based on ISO 9001:2008 as the foundation of quality management, process control cards are established for every step in the production process—from raw material receipt to product shipment—and for all critical process stages, with dedicated quality inspectors responsible for oversight and control. In addition, a quality‑inspection system has been implemented, comprising self‑inspection at the shop‑floor level, re‑inspection by the quality‑control department, and final inspection prior to shipment.
3) In terms of physicochemical testing equipment, the facility is equipped with state-of-the-art instruments and devices, including a direct-reading spectrometer, Rockwell hardness tester, Leeb hardness tester, ball‑drop impact tester, and impact testing machine, all imported from Germany.
4) Advanced spectral analysis is implemented throughout the entire production process—before, after, and during the manufacturing of semi-finished and finished products—enabling intuitive and effective determination of elemental concentrations. This ensures long-term stability of chemical composition and material properties, meeting both production requirements and customer expectations.
5) The configuration and utilization of state-of-the-art testing equipment enable the effective evaluation of the mechanical properties of finished products, help prevent defective steel balls and wear parts from entering the mill, and facilitate product‑quality benchmarking against industry peers, thereby continuously enhancing heat‑treatment capabilities and improving overall product performance. These advanced testing instruments provide a robust scientific foundation for our ongoing efforts to elevate product quality and develop new wear‑resistant materials.
6) The company’s testing center maintains ongoing technical exchanges with third-party testing organizations such as SGS, BV, and TUV. Details of third-party testing for grinding media products can be downloaded from the “Third-Party Testing” section.
